Privacy policy

Your music belongs to your band. This page explains, in plain words, what we keep, why, and who can get to it: only the people you let in.

Who can hear your music

Only signed-in members of your band. Your band's admins decide who that is: people join with an invite you send, an admin can require approval before anyone gets in, and an admin can remove someone at any time. Their access ends the moment they are removed.

Only rehearsal computers an admin has approved can send recordings to your band, and an admin can disconnect one at any time.

For now, the original Tronic Hogwash band can still sign in with its old shared band password. That ends once its members have moved to personal accounts.

What we promise

• We never sell or share your recordings.
• We never use your music for anything except playing it back to your band. No AI, no advertising, no tracking.
• The services that deliver our emails and notifications never receive your recordings or your song and practice titles.
• Our pages load nothing from other websites.

What we keep, and why

• Your account: your name, your email address and your password, stored scrambled so nobody can read it. If you sign in with Google, the Google account it belongs to.
• Your bands: which bands you're in and which parts you play.
• Your band's music: the practices your band uploads, and the names you give songs and practices.
• Security details: things like the address you sign in from and which devices are connected, so we can stop break-in attempts and show admins what's connected.

When you delete your account or your band, we erase it or strip it of anything that identifies you.

How we protect it

• Everything travels encrypted between your devices and our server.
• Every request for a recording is checked against your band's member list.
• Sign-in attempts are limited to stop password guessing, and invite links can expire or be cancelled.

You're in control

• A band admin can download everything the band has uploaded at any time.
• A band admin can delete the band. You have 7 days to change your mind; after that the recordings and the band's records are erased.
• You can delete your own account at any time from your account page.

Cookies

We only use the cookies that make signing in and joining a band work. No tracking or advertising cookies.
